A book fair you visited for class 7 and 8

Last month, I visited the Ekushey Book Fair with my parents and elder brother. It was held at Bangla Academy in Dhaka. This is the biggest book fair in our country.

When I entered the fair, I was amazed to see so many colourful stalls. There were hundreds of book stalls beautifully decorated with lights and flowers. Many publishers from all over Bangladesh displayed their books. I saw books on stories, poems, novels, science, and history.

I liked the children’s section most. There were many interesting storybooks with colourful pictures. I bought two storybooks and one comic book. My brother bought some novels and my father bought books on Bangladesh’s freedom fight. The air was full of the smell of new books.

There were also cultural programmes. Many writers and poets came to the fair. We listened to a speech by a famous writer. People were walking around, talking about books and taking photos.

The book fair was very crowded but well organized. I enjoyed it a lot. It made me love books more. Book fairs are very important because they encourage people, especially students, to read more books.

I wish I could visit the book fair every year. It was a wonderful experience for me.

A book fair you visited for class 9 and 10

Book fairs are very important for book lovers. Last February, I got the chance to visit the famous Ekushey Book Fair at Bangla Academy ground in Dhaka. It is the largest book fair in Bangladesh.

The fair started on 1st February and continued till the end of the month. When I reached there with my family in the evening, the whole area was glowing with colourful lights. There were more than 500 stalls arranged in rows. Different publishers displayed thousands of new and old books.

I was very excited to see so many varieties of books. I spent most of my time in the children’s and story book section. I bought three interesting storybooks, a science book, and a collection of poems. My parents also bought some good books. The books were nicely arranged and the shopkeepers were very helpful.

Besides books, there were many attractive things. There were food stalls, cultural programmes, and discussion meetings with famous writers. One evening, a famous children’s writer gave a speech. We also enjoyed some songs and recitations.

The book fair creates a great opportunity for students to develop the habit of reading. It also helps writers and publishers to reach more readers. However, the fair was a bit crowded and sometimes it was difficult to move.

Visiting the book fair was a memorable experience for me. It increased my love for books. I learned that books are our best friends. I hope I can visit the book fair again next year.

A book fair you visited for ssc

Last February, I had the chance to visit the Ekushey Book Fair at Bangla Academy in Dhaka with my family, and the experience has stayed with me in a way I did not quite expect. I had heard that it was the largest book fair in Bangladesh, but hearing about it and walking through it felt like two very different things.

The moment we entered, the atmosphere stood out. Rows of stalls, carefully arranged and brightly lit, seemed to stretch farther than I had imagined. It was not just the number of books that caught my attention, though there were plenty—covering literature, science, history, and more. What felt more striking was the presence of people. Students flipping through pages, parents guiding their children, writers speaking with readers—it all suggested that books still hold a meaningful place in public life, despite the growing influence of digital media.

I found myself spending most of my time in sections meant for younger readers and storytelling. Perhaps that reflects a personal preference, or maybe those areas simply felt more inviting. I ended up buying a few storybooks, along with a science fiction title and a collection of poems. My parents, on the other hand, were drawn to books related to Bangladesh’s Liberation War. Their choices made me think about how reading interests often reflect not just age, but also memory and experience.
