Sayed Rishad: Hi Rimi! You look very fit and active these days. How do you keep good health?

Sayeda Rimi: Hi Rishad! Thank you. I try to follow some simple rules every day.

Sayed Rishad: What are those rules? Tell me, please.

Sayeda Rimi: First, I wake up early in the morning and do some exercise. I also play outdoor games like football or badminton.

Sayed Rishad: That sounds good. I sit and study for long hours. I feel tired easily.

Sayeda Rimi: That is not good. You should take breaks and move around. Exercise makes our body strong and keeps us energetic.

Sayed Rishad: What about food? I like eating chips and cold drinks.

Sayeda Rimi: Junk food is tasty but not healthy. We should eat fresh fruits, vegetables, rice, dal, and fish. Drink plenty of water every day.

Sayed Rishad: I drink very little water. Is that a problem?

Sayeda Rimi: Yes, it is. Water helps to keep our body clean inside. We should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.

Sayed Rishad: I also sleep very late at night. Is that okay?

Sayeda Rimi: No, Rishad. We need 8 to 9 hours of sleep. Good sleep helps our brain and body to rest and grow.

Sayed Rishad: I understand now. We should also keep our surroundings clean to avoid diseases.

Sayeda Rimi: Exactly. Washing hands before eating, taking bath regularly, and brushing teeth twice a day are very important.

Sayed Rishad: Thank you, Rimi. From today I will try to follow these habits to keep good health.

Sayeda Rimi: That is great! If we take care of our health from now, we will stay strong and happy in the future.

Sayed Rishad: Yes! Good health is the real wealth.

Sayed Rishad: Arre Rimi, you always look so energetic. Exams are coming and you still don’t seem tired. How do you manage to stay so fit?

Sayeda Rimi: Haha, thanks yaar. Actually, I try to follow some simple habits. If I skip them even for a few days, I start feeling weak.

Sayed Rishad: Tell me na. I spend most of the time sitting with books and phone. By evening I feel so lazy.

Sayeda Rimi: That’s the problem. First thing – wake up early and do some exercise. Even 20-30 minutes of walking, cycling or playing badminton helps a lot. Body stays active the whole day.

Sayed Rishad: I hate waking up early. But maybe I should try. What about food? I love eating outside – burgers, fuchka, cold drinks.

Sayeda Rimi: Those taste good but they harm us slowly. Better to eat home food – rice, dal, vegetables, fish, and fruits. Less oily and less sweet. And drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day.

Sayed Rishad: Water? I forget most of the time. My mom also keeps telling me the same.

Sayeda Rimi: See, water keeps our body clean from inside. And sleep is very important too. At least 7-8 hours at night. If I sleep late, next day I can’t concentrate in class.

Sayed Rishad: True. Sometimes I study till midnight and then feel headache the whole day.

Sayeda Rimi: Also, don’t sit too long. After every hour of study, stand up, stretch a little or walk around the room. And keep your room and surroundings clean. Dirty places bring diseases easily.

Sayed Rishad: I never thought about all these small things. Now I understand why you stay healthy even during exam time.

Sayeda Rimi: It’s not difficult, Rishad. Just make these habits regular. Good health helps us study better and enjoy life more. Without health, even good marks don’t feel nice.

Sayed Rishad: You are right. From tomorrow I will start waking up early and cut down junk food. Wish me luck!

Sayeda Rimi: Best of luck! If you continue, you will feel the difference in a week. Let’s both try to stay healthy together.
